The catamaran Venezia 42, our floating base, provides all the comfort needed for a pleasant onboard life in an exceptional setting: 4 double cabins, 2 single cabins, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious deck where you can not only store the kayaks but also relax while sunbathing, enjoy sunsets, gaze at the stars, or simply listen to the gentle lapping of the sea against the boat’s hull.

Each night, you’ll stay in the same room but in a different location. At each stop, you’ll have the opportunity to swim before enjoying a delicious meal made from local and organic produce.

In case of unfavorable sea kayaking conditions, our experienced skipper will guide you through the basics of sailing navigation. Seize the opportunity to take the helm and participate in maneuvers for a complete and enriching maritime experience.

5-Day Sea Kayaking Expedition: Discovering the Calanques and Beyond

Day 1: La Pointe Rouge, Marseille

Commence your adventure with a morning rendezvous at La Pointe Rouge port in Marseille. Embark on a thrilling sea kayaking journey, navigating towards Vieux Port and undertaking a captivating sea crossing to the historic Chateau d’If and the enchanting Frioul archipelago. As evening sets in, find yourself aboard with an incredible view of the Marseille skyline.


Day 2: Riou Archipelago Exploration

At breakfast, transition to the catamaran and set sail for a day of kayaking amidst the deserted islands of the Riou archipelago. The night unfolds aboard the catamaran, allowing you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the open sea.

Day 3: Heart of the Calanques

Today’s paddle takes you into the heart of the Calanques—Sormiou, Morgiou, Sugiton, each revealing its unique charm. As the day unfolds, reach the stunning enclave of En Vau, where a night on board awaits, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the cliffs.


Day 4: Towards La Ciotat

Set your course eastward as you paddle towards La Ciotat. Marvel at the majestic Cape Canaille, paddling at its base, and explore the inviting creeks of the Green Island, standing sentinel at the entrance to the port of La Ciotat. Another night aboard the catamaran offers a serene culmination to your coastal exploration.


Day 5: Return to Marseille

Embark on the catamaran for a homeward journey to Marseille, granting you one last panoramic view of the picturesque landscapes. Conclude this remarkable expedition in the afternoon, enriched with memories of the azure sea, towering cliffs, and the coastal wonders of the Calanques.

As part of our journey, we provide our carefully selected fleet of kayaks to ensure an exceptional experience. Single-seat polyethylene (PE) models include Ysak from Dag Kayak and Reval (LV and HV) from Zegul, offering diversity to cater to different preferences and body types. For performance enthusiasts, we also offer high-quality carbon kayaks from Zegul and skin-on-frame Trak 2.0 from Trak Kayaks. The Biwok model from Dag Kayak represents our tandem kayaks, renowned for their comfort and stability.

Regarding paddles, we have selected models from Werner Paddles, featuring carbon handles available in ergonomic or straight versions. For an alternative approach, we also provide carbon Greenland paddles, adding authenticity to your kayaking experience. Our commitment to the quality and diversity of our fleet aims to meet the needs of each participant and ensure total immersion in the joy of kayaking.

The journey starts upon your arrival in Marseille on Day 1 and concludes upon your arrival in Marseille on Day 7.
