Since 2011, Voyage Kayak has designed and organised trips and expeditions devoted exclusively to sea kayaking.
From the Mediterranean to the polar regions, from the fjords of Oman to the Indonesian archipelagos, the agency has grown through field experience, scouting trips, days on the water and meaningful encounters.
Voyage Kayak is not a large, faceless company. It is an independent agency led by one person: Julien Burellier, professional guide, French state-certified sea kayak instructor and founder of the agency.
I do not simply send you on a journey: I take you there. I answer your messages, design the trips, prepare the logistics and guide most of the departures myself. That direct connection lies at the heart of Voyage Kayak.

Voyage Kayak does not offer kayaking as just one activity among many. Since its creation, the agency has specialised exclusively in sea kayaking trips, journeys and expeditions.
This specialisation brings a thorough understanding of the routes, sea conditions, equipment and requirements of each destination. Every journey is designed from the water: for the quality of the paddling, the beauty of the coastline, a well-paced itinerary and the safety of the group.
Over the years, Voyage Kayak has designed and organised itineraries in France, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Arctic and Antarctic, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. Some journeys are scheduled regularly. Others are organised on request, evolve with local conditions or remain in the catalogue as evidence of expertise acquired in the field.

Julien Burellier, from your first message to the final paddle stroke
I have been a sea kayak instructor since 1998, worked as a rafting guide for 25 years and am also a ski instructor. I have devoted my life to outdoor activities and spent years on the water and snow, among bivouacs, rivers, wild coastlines and mountains.
This experience is not about turning every journey into a sporting achievement. It enables me to read the environment, anticipate, choose the right route and adapt the journey to both the conditions and the participants.
When you write to me, I am the one who answers. When you travel, I am often the one guiding you. I deliberately limit the number of departures to prioritise the quality of the guiding, the cohesion of the small group and the smooth running of the logistics.
Depending on the destination, I also work with experienced skippers, crews and local guides, selected for their knowledge of the region and with whom I have built genuine relationships of trust.

A personal note
Before being a travel agency, Voyage Kayak is the natural extension of a lifelong path.
I never set out to build a large company. My ambition is to share expeditions that are carefully designed, well run, human and beautiful. Experiences that leave a lasting impression without trying too hard.
Today, I design my journeys as I would draw a line through the mountains or across the sea: with care, respect and passion. And if I continue to guide them myself, it is because I believe deeply in what I do. This is where I belong.
