At the northern tip of the Sultanate of Oman, the Musandam Peninsula drops its limestone cliffs into the warm waters surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. Sea kayaking offers a unique way to explore its fjords, secluded coves and fishing villages, with opportunities to observe dolphins and other marine life along the way.
Voyage Kayak offers two ways to discover this region: an itinerant wild-camping journey through the fjords around Khasab, and a more maritime expedition using a traditional Omani dhow as a floating base camp in the Strait of Hormuz. Two very different journeys in terms of organisation, but built around the same idea: exploring Musandam from the sea, in a small group and at kayak pace.

A more maritime expedition around the northern tip of Musandam, from the Sham and Ghub Ali fjords to the isolated village of Kumzar. A traditional Omani dhow becomes our floating base camp, allowing us to link stages between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
