From the volcanic landscapes of the Cyclades to Menorca’s wild shores, and from the colourful villages of the Cinque Terre to the granite islands of La Maddalena, this corner of the Mediterranean offers an exceptional variety of scenery and sea kayaking journeys.
These itineraries offer several ways to travel at water level: a journey supported by a catamaran between Corsica and Sardinia, self-contained camping expeditions around Milos and Menorca, linear stages using folding kayaks and train transfers in the Cinque Terre, or an exploration of Venice and its lagoon from an island hotel. Italy — Sardinia: From the Lavezzi Islands to the La Maddalena Archipelago
Starting in Bonifacio, this journey links the granite landscapes of the Lavezzi Islands with Razzoli, Santa Maria, Budelli, Caprera and Spargi. The kayaks explore coves and shallow passages while the catamaran Colada supports the journey and welcomes the group aboard at a new anchorage each evening.
Greece — Milos & Kimolos in the Cyclades
Six days of expedition kayaking around volcanic Milos and across to Kimolos, taking in the white cliffs of Sarakiniko, fishing villages, the caves of Kleftiko and the former mines of Thiorichia. Our camping equipment travels in the kayaks and we set up camp on a new beach or in a sheltered cove each evening.
Spain — Around Menorca in the Balearic Islands
An expedition of approximately 140 km aiming to complete a full circumnavigation of the island, between limestone cliffs and bright coves in the south, then exposed headlands and rugged inlets in the north. For eight days, the kayaks carry our camp and each stage ends at a new camping spot beside the Mediterranean.
Italy — The Cinque Terre by Folding Kayak
Three linear stages link Moneglia, Levanto, Riomaggiore and La Spezia beneath cliffs, terraced vineyards and colourful villages. The folding kayaks travel by train with the group, while a 3★ hotel in Levanto welcomes everyone back each evening.
Italy — Venice & the Lagoon Islands
Venice is discovered at water level, among palaces, bridges, time-worn façades and the open horizons of the lagoon. The itinerary combines the City of the Doges with the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello, San Michele and Sant’Erasmo, using a 3★ hotel as a comfortable base.
