Voyage Kayak isn’t a large, faceless company. It’s a craft-sized operation, led entirely by one person — me, Julien Burellier. I’m a certified sea kayak instructor, an outdoor guide with over 25 years of experience in sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, and skiing. And I personally guide the trips I design.
I don’t just send you on a journey — I take you there.
Every expedition you see on this site has been imagined, scouted, tested, and guided by me. I’m on the water with you, sharing the same wind, the same bivouac spot, the same sunrise from the catamaran deck or under the northern lights. That direct connection — between guide and guests — is the soul of Voyage Kayak.

A personal note
Voyage Kayak is more than a company — it’s the natural extension of a lifelong path.
I’ve been a certified kayak instructor since 1998, a rafting guide for 25 years, and a ski instructor. Most of my life has been spent outside — on rivers, on snow, under canvas and stars.
I never set out to build a big business. My ambition is to design and guide well-thought-out, meaningful, and beautiful expeditions. Trips that leave a mark — without trying too hard.
I design my journeys like I draw a line in the mountains or on the sea: with care, with respect, and with passion.
And yes — I still guide them myself, because that’s where I belong.
